As every child born between this decade and a few previous ones, I am an accepted product of the growing and already settled in, Capitalism. I see things a couple of times and I have to want it, have to get it, and have to need it.
Despite this I managed to keep my taste and choices steady and I know what I like and what I would wear or not. But somehow the industry always gets away with it. Either they find a way for me to like it or the huge diversity of products, people and ideas that is the world will eventually show me something about this trend or containing this trend that I will undoubtedly get to adore.
And this is exactly what happened with purple hair. I was convinced I didn’t like it, that I couldn’t pull it off, that it looked way to artificial and artificial is no good, that my mom would hate it and drive me insane until I dye it back into its original color; and then out of the blue – or huge masses of purple hair – I saw this picture of the perfect purple hair for me (For I am a brunette).
Almost black, almost brown, definitely purple absolutely perfect.
So, who knows…? I might end up dying my hair purple.
